This year, for the very first time, the beautiful Japanese Sasebo Gardens were included in Albuquerque’s River of Lights festival!

From November 30th to December 30th, two of our incredible local taiko groups, NM Taiko and BK Taiko, performed on multiple days to commemorate this special occasion. Their powerful and dynamic performances added a unique cultural element to this already magical event.

A huge thank you to these talented groups for sharing the art of taiko drumming with our community and helping to highlight the beauty of Japanese culture.
